Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer.com. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima OffGrid rooftop cargo basket here on our 2021 Audi Q7. Now a rooftop basket is a great way to expand the cargo space of your vehicle without necessarily adding to like the hitch for the back of your vehicle. The hitch does require cutting on this vehicle, so maybe you don't wanna get a hitch. You don't wanna make permanent modifications to your car or you have the hitch and it's otherwise occupied with something like a bike rack or a small camper. The roof is the next best place to get that extra gear or luggage out of your car and to your destination safely. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2016 Audi Q5- Video
Today on 2016 Audi Q5, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack, roof mounted cargo basket, part number RMCB. This has a carrying capacity of 165 pounds although you want to double check with your owner's manual to make sure your vehicle can withstand that weight on the roof. It's 47 inches long by 35 inches wide by 6 inches tall all the way around. This cargo basket does have a ferrying included with it and it also has kind of a diamond 00:32 shape to it and that's going to help cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. It connects to your roof rack via these clamps and screws that you put into place. Let's go ahead and show you how the last one goes on. It's really easy and fairly simple to install and adjustable for varying crossbar spreads. more

Curt Roof Basket Review - 2016 Audi Q5- Video
Today on our 2016 Audi Q5, we're going to be test fitting the Curt roof mounted cargo basket, part number C18115. This has a carrying capacity of 150 pounds so that you want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure it can withstand that weight. It measures 41 1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide by 4 inches deep. How it grips around the actual crossbars, we have these rubber coated U-bolts and these knobs here on the top that you'll just simply tighten down. With the last one open, we'll go ahead and show you how that works. One of the great things about this cargo basket is it provides you the ability to put up camping equipment, sporting equipment, even luggage to free up space on the inside for your family and it makes things a little bit easier to move around inside. This also does offer an extension should you need to carry more equipment on top. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2016 Audi Q5- Video
Today on our 2016 Audi Q5 we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket, part number TH859XT. This has a carrying capacity of 150 pounds, although you want to double check with your vehicles manual to make sure it can withstand that weight on the roof. It also measures 49" long by 40" wide by 6" deep at the top point. It has a fairing included at the front as well as this nice aerodynamic shape and that's going to cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. Now it clamps around to your roof bars. We have these metal u-bolts here that clip up then we have these covers that will lock it into place. You can replace these plastic pieces at the end here with Thule's lock core to completely secure it to your vehicle. more
